About SmoothSe
Running a small brand means keeping track of a lot — orders, inventory, customers, payments, invoices, tasks and more.
SmoothSe brings it all together in one simple app, so you can spend less time on admin, stay on top of your business and have the clarity you need to grow.
And because SmoothSe was built from the ground up with input from small brand founders, it is designed around the way small brands actually work.
A spreadsheet can work when you're just getting started. But as orders, products and customers start adding up, keeping everything organized across spreadsheets, notes, WhatsApp and other apps can quickly become messy.
SmoothSe gives you one place to manage your orders, inventory, customers, payments and task list from the start. It can also generate GST-compliant invoices in seconds and give you useful insights into how your business is doing.
Starting with a simple system now can save you a lot of admin later. See why it helps to get your business organised early →
Absolutely. SmoothSe was built for founders who want to spend more time building their brand and less time figuring out complicated business software.
We make everyday tasks simple — from recording an order by voice and creating an invoice in seconds to understanding your most important business numbers.
No complicated setup. No business-software expertise required.
That's exactly the kind of business SmoothSe is designed for.
At pop-ups, you can quickly record sales using Quick Order or Voice Order, capture customer details, send digital bills and collect payments using your own QR code or payment options available through SmoothSe. After the event, you can quickly generate GST-compliant invoices in bulk and reconnect with your customers through bulk WhatsApp messages.
For orders coming through WhatsApp or Instagram, SmoothSe gives you one central place to keep track of your orders, inventory, customers and payments — rather than having important information scattered across chats, spreadsheets and notes.
SmoothSe brings the everyday tools you need to run your brand into one place.
You can manage sales and orders, inventory, customers, and payments; create digital bills and GST-compliant invoices; keep track of tasks and goals; understand how your business is performing; communicate with customers, including through integrated WhatsApp bulk messaging; and use Smoothie, your AI Co-Founder, to get answers and insights about your business.
You can also use SmoothSe when selling at pop-ups, with tools designed specifically to make event sales faster and easier.

SmoothSe is built specifically for small Indian brands. It brings the things founders need to run and grow their brand into one simple, intuitive app — without requiring them to learn complicated business software.
Zoho and Odoo are powerful, broad business-management platforms with extensive functionality. That can be useful if you need that depth, but may also mean more complexity than a small brand needs day to day.
Tally is particularly strong in accounting, GST and financial management, while SmoothSe is designed around the broader everyday experience of running and growing a brand.
Vyapar focuses primarily on billing, accounting, inventory and GST for small businesses. SmoothSe combines business operations with customers, planning, insights, growth tools and features designed specifically for modern small brands.

No. You can access SmoothSe directly through your browser on your phone, tablet or computer.
For easier access on your phone, you can also add the SmoothSe app to your home screen, so it works much like any other app.
SmoothSe's core business-management tools are currently free to use. This includes features for managing your orders, inventory, customers, payments, invoices, tasks, analytics and more.
Some optional functionality relies on third-party service providers — for example, payment processing and bulk WhatsApp messaging. Where third-party provider charges apply, these costs are passed on to you at cost, without a SmoothSe markup.
You can currently share access to your SmoothSe account with team members you trust. They will have access to the same information and functionality as you.
Separate team logins with different access permissions are not currently available.

Products & stock
It depends on where you currently keep your product information:
1. All your products are in a spreadsheet
You can import your existing product, inventory and pricing information using our CSV import.
Our spreadsheet template uses the same format as Shopify. If your existing spreadsheet is in a different format, just contact us — we'll help you reformat it so you can easily upload it to SmoothSe.
To upload your spreadsheet or download our template, go to Storeroom → Add Products in the SmoothSe app.
2. Some of your products are on Shopify and others are in a spreadsheet
First, connect your Shopify store to SmoothSe. Your Shopify products and inventory will sync automatically with SmoothSe.
You can then use our CSV import to upload the remaining products that aren't on Shopify.
3. All your products are on Shopify
Simply connect your Shopify store to SmoothSe. Your Shopify products and inventory will sync automatically, so there's no need to upload a separate spreadsheet.
You can connect Shopify under Settings → Integrations in the SmoothSe app.
Yes. You can edit existing products in the Storeroom, including information such as stock count, sizes, costs and prices.
If you want to add multiple new products or an entire collection, the easiest way is to click Export Products, add the new products to the downloaded file and upload the updated catalogue again.
Need help? Contact us and we'll be happy to assist.
Yes. You can track product variants such as different sizes and colours in Storeroom.
Not currently. Your inventory count needs to be adjusted manually after a sale or return.
We've intentionally kept order creation flexible because many small brands accept orders for products that aren't currently in stock — for example, made-to-order items or products they plan to restock.
This means SmoothSe won't prevent you from recording a sale simply because the current stock count is zero.
Yes. SmoothSe lets you create an order even if the item isn't currently available in your SmoothSe inventory.
If the product is already in Storeroom but its stock count is zero, you can still add it to an order. This is useful for made-to-order products, pre-orders or items you plan to restock.
If the product hasn't been added to Storeroom yet, you can add it manually when creating a Quick Order.
Just remember that inventory counts currently need to be updated manually.
SmoothSe helps you understand what's selling and what you may need to restock.
You can check current stock in the Storeroom, view your top-selling products and inventory insights in Analytics, or simply ask Smoothie, your AI Co-Founder, about low-stock items and product performance.
This can help you make better decisions about what to produce, reorder or take to your next pop-up.
Yes. You can track product costs and margins provided you include costing information in your product details in Storeroom. SmoothSe can then use this information to help you understand the gross profit and margin for each product.
Orders & sales
Go to Sales Desk → Orders, tap Create Order and select the products from your catalogue.
Want to record an order faster? You can also use Quick Order or Voice Order, which are particularly useful when you're selling at a busy pop-up.
Quick Order and Voice Order give you faster ways to record a sale, particularly when you're selling at a busy pop-up and don't want to spend time typing.
To access them, press and hold the Smoothie icon in the bottom-right corner of the app.
Make sure you hold it down: if you only tap the icon briefly, it will open Smoothie, your AI Co-Founder, instead.
Quick Order: Select Quick Order to quickly add products from your inventory. You can also manually add an item that isn't yet in Storeroom.
Voice Order: Select Voice Order and simply say the order — for example, “Mirabel dress, size M, one piece.” SmoothSe creates the order for you, which you can then review and edit.
Yes. One of the main benefits of SmoothSe is having one place to see sales from across your different channels.
When recording an order manually, simply select the relevant sales channel. Sales recorded through pop-ups or retail stores can be associated with the relevant outlet you've created in Outlets.
This lets you see where your sales are coming from and compare how different channels and outlets are performing.
SmoothSe helps you manage your pop-up from the stock you take with you through to your sales and post-event follow-up.
Before the pop-up: Create the event under Outlets → Popups and use the Inventory tab to record the stock you're taking.
During the pop-up: Record sales quickly using Quick Order or Voice Order, capture customer details, collect payments and send digital bills.
After the pop-up: Compare your remaining stock with your event inventory and update your stock count in Storeroom. You can also use the event's Summary tab to see your sales and profits and generate GST-compliant invoices.
And don't forget your new customers: you can thank everyone after the event and stay in touch using a bulk WhatsApp message.
This gives you one place to keep track of what you took, what you sold, who bought from you, and how the pop-up performed.
Yes. If you sell your products through physical stores or other retail locations, you can add them under Outlets → Retail Stores and track the inventory and sales associated with each location.
This helps you see which products perform well at different locations and which retail partners work best for your brand.
You can record and track return or exchange requests against the relevant order under Sales Desk → Orders, so the request stays connected to the original sale.
Remember to adjust your inventory manually when returned or exchanged products come back into stock.
Bills & invoices
You can generate individual or multiple GST-compliant invoices in seconds.
Go to Sales Desk → Invoices, select the order or orders you want to invoice and click Generate Invoices.
You can use filters to generate invoices in bulk — for example, for all sales from a particular pop-up, time period or customer.
The invoices are generated as PDFs and downloaded to your device rather than stored inside the SmoothSe app.
A digital bill is the digital equivalent of the paper bill or receipt you might otherwise hand to a customer after a sale. It gives the customer a clear record of what they bought and how much they paid.
It is different from a GST-compliant invoice, which is primarily used for accounting and tax purposes.
Sending a digital bill through SmoothSe is easy. After you've created an order, you'll see Share Digital Bill at the top of the order screen. Tap it to create a link that you can share with your customer through WhatsApp, text message or email.
The digital bill includes your brand logo and the relevant details of the sale.
Want to use your digital bill to encourage the customer to buy from you again? See how to turn your digital bill into a free marketing tool for your next sale. →
Your digital bill doesn't just have to be a receipt. You can also use it to encourage customers to come back and buy from you again.
SmoothSe lets you add a personalised customer message, a link to your website and a discount code to the digital bill. For example, you could thank the customer for their purchase and offer them 10% off their next order.
Offering a discount code with the digital bill can also give customers an extra reason to share their phone number with you when they buy, helping you grow your customer database and stay in touch after the sale.
To set it up, create your order and go to Share Digital Bill → Marketing on Bill at the top of the order screen. You can then customise the message and marketing information that will appear on the customer's digital bill.
Connecting other tools
Yes. Go to Settings → Integrations in SmoothSe to connect your Shopify store.
Your Shopify product catalogue, orders and inventory counts can then sync with SmoothSe, so you don't have to maintain the same information separately.
The integration currently works one way: SmoothSe receives Shopify orders and inventory updates, but inventory changes made in SmoothSe are not pushed back to Shopify.
Not currently. SmoothSe does not integrate directly with online marketplaces such as Amazon or Myntra.
Follow @smoothse.in on Instagram for product updates.
Not currently. SmoothSe does not integrate directly with shipping or delivery providers.

When you use the payment options integrated into SmoothSe, your customers can pay using supported payment methods such as UPI, credit cards, debit cards, net banking and other payment methods made available by our payment provider.
You can also accept payments independently — for example, using your own UPI QR code or cash — and record those payments in SmoothSe.
SmoothSe gives you two options:
Use an integrated payment option: Open the relevant order under Sales Desk → Orders, go to the payment section and select an available payment option. You can initiate a UPI payment using a QR code or use a payment link for credit cards and other supported payment methods. No separate card machine is required for card payments.
If you use an integrated payment option, the payment is automatically recorded and linked to the relevant order.
See also: What do the integrated payment options cost?
Use your own payment method: You can continue accepting payments using your own UPI QR code, bank account or other payment method, such as cash, and simply record the payment manually in SmoothSe.
Yes. You can collect a payment without first creating an order. You can later associate that payment with an order so you still have a complete record of what the customer paid for.
To collect a payment using an integrated payment option, go to Payments and select either QR Codes or Payment Links. Or simply use your own payment method and record the payment in SmoothSe.
Absolutely.
You can continue accepting UPI payments directly using your own QR code. Because those payments take place independently of the integrated payment provider, they won't automatically appear in SmoothSe.
Simply record the payment manually against the relevant order in SmoothSe so your sales and payment records stay up to date.
The main difference is record-keeping: payments made through an integrated payment option are automatically recorded in SmoothSe and can be linked to the relevant order. If you use your own QR code, you'll need to record the payment manually.
You can see your recorded payments under Payments → All Payments, including payments associated with pop-ups, WhatsApp or Instagram orders and other sales channels.
Use the available filters to view and compare payments by sales channel and keep your payment records in one place.
If you choose to use an integrated payment option, the applicable third-party payment provider charges and taxes are passed on to you. SmoothSe does not add its own payment-processing fee or markup.
You can also use your own UPI QR code or another independent payment method and record the payment manually in SmoothSe. SmoothSe does not charge a payment-processing fee for recording these payments.
For details of the current third-party payment provider charges, see our Pricing page.
Payment services available through SmoothSe are provided and processed by our third-party payment provider, currently Razorpay.
SmoothSe is a technology platform and is not the payment aggregator. SmoothSe provides the technology integration that connects payments with your orders and business records, but does not receive or hold your customers' payment funds for onward settlement to you.
Customers is your central place for keeping track of the people who buy from your brand.
You can store customer contact details, view individual customer profiles and see information such as their order and spending history. You can also categorize customers into different groups, making it easier to identify your best customers and reach the right people with relevant messages and offers.
When you capture customer information while recording a sale — including at a pop-up — SmoothSe helps you build your customer database as you sell.
Because your customer information and sales history are connected, SmoothSe can help you understand who is buying from you, how much they're spending and what they're buying.
You can explore your customer information directly in Customers or ask Smoothie, your AI Co-Founder, questions about your customers and sales data.
To access Smoothie, briefly tap the Smoothie icon in the bottom-right corner of the app and simply ask your question.
SmoothSe helps you turn the customer information you're already collecting into repeat sales.
You can identify and group customers for targeted follow-ups and offers, use Smoothie, your AI Co-Founder, for ideas based on your customer and sales data, and reconnect with customers using bulk WhatsApp messaging.
For example, you could follow up after a pop-up, share a special offer with your best customers or let customers know about a new collection.
Yes. SmoothSe includes integrated bulk WhatsApp messaging, so you can communicate with groups of customers without having to message everyone individually.
For example, you can use it to:
• announce a new collection or product launch;• send special offers or discount codes;• invite customers to an upcoming pop-up;• let customers know where your brand will be selling;• follow up with customers after a pop-up; or• send seasonal or other customer messages.
Interested in using WhatsApp Broadcasts? Reach out to us and we'll help you get set up with our messaging provider and connect it to SmoothSe.
SmoothSe does not add a fee or markup for using the bulk WhatsApp messaging function.
WhatsApp messaging is provided through a third-party messaging provider, whose charges are passed on to you without any SmoothSe markup.
Reach out to us if you're interested in using WhatsApp Broadcasts. We'll help you get set up and let you know the applicable messaging charges.
Smoothie — your AI Co-Founder
Think of Smoothie as your AI Co-Founder. It's a bit like ChatGPT, but it can work with the information in your SmoothSe account — so its answers and insights are specific to your business.
You can ask Smoothie questions about products, customers, sales and other business information you've managed through SmoothSe. For example:
• “How much revenue did I make at my last pop-up?”• “How many pieces of product XYZ do I have left, and in which colours?”• “Who were my top customers over the last three months?”
But Smoothie isn't just there to find information. You can also use it as a sounding board to understand your business and plan your next steps. For example:
• “What could I do to increase my sales?”• “Review how I performed at all the pop-ups I attended this year. What should I focus on at my next one?”• “Which products should I consider restocking based on my recent sales?”
In short, instead of digging through your business data yourself, just ask Smoothie.
To open Smoothie, briefly tap the Smoothie icon in the bottom-right corner of the app. You can then simply type your question and start chatting with your AI Co-Founder.
Note: If you press and hold the Smoothie icon instead, you'll open the Quick Order and Voice Order options.
You can ask Smoothie, your AI Co-Founder, questions about almost any part of your business using the information available in your SmoothSe account.
For example, you could ask:
• Sales: “How have my sales changed over the last three months?”• Products: “Which products are selling best?”• Inventory: “What should I consider restocking?”• Customers: “Who are my top customers?”• Pop-ups: “Which of my recent pop-ups performed best?”• Marketing: “What could I do to reconnect with customers who haven't bought from me recently?”
You can also use Smoothie as a sounding board when you're deciding what to do next — for example, what to restock, where to focus your sales efforts or which customers you might want to target with an offer.
Understanding your business
SmoothSe brings your sales, orders, inventory and customer data together so you can more easily understand how your business is performing.
Under Analytics, you can explore insights relating to your:• orders;• sales;• customers;• inventory;• pop-ups; and• retail stores.
This can help you answer practical questions such as which products are selling best, which products aren't moving, which customers are buying from you most often, where you're selling best and how your sales are changing over time.
Instead of working through rows of spreadsheet data, you can see key information visually. And if you'd rather just ask a question, Smoothie, your AI Co-Founder, can help you understand the information and think through what to do next.
You can see your best-selling items under Analytics → Inventory. Feeling lazy, or looking for more details? Just ask Smoothie about your product performance.
By looking at your sales and inventory information together, SmoothSe can help you identify products that are selling slowly or haven't been selling.
Sounds complicated? Just ask Smoothie for help interpreting your data and to brainstorm on next steps (e.g., whether to reduce future production, run a promotion or focus your resources elsewhere.)
SmoothSe can help you make more informed production and restocking decisions based on your actual sales and inventory data.
For example, you can see which products are selling well, identify items that are running low and spot products that are moving more slowly.
Smoothie can also help you analyse this information and think through what you may want to produce or reorder next.
SmoothSe lets you associate sales with different channels and outlets, such as pop-ups, retail stores, WhatsApp, Instagram and your website.
You can then compare their performance and better understand where your sales are coming from.
For individual pop-ups, you can also see event-level performance, helping you understand which events work well for your brand.
All of this sounds complicated? Just ask Smoothie for help.
